A major update of Glycemic Index is now available on the App Store !

The main feature is the Glycemic Load. The most popular and widely-used extension of the glycemic index is now available in the app.

Besides this major new feature, we have a few other great improvements:

New food items database for english version, more than 2400 items available !
New information page, with dedicated content about glycemic load
Search has been improved to be more accurate

Votre outils est bien mais vous devriez le transformer pour donner la charge glycémique au lieu de l’index.
Vous en parler déjà un peu avec la carotte de l’exemple en disant que malgrès un index glycémique élévé il y aura un effet négligeable sur la glycémie.

I bought your Clycemic index in App-Store yesterday.
The describtion of the app shows that it is available in French, English and GERMAN language.
I’m german and speak also english, but NO word French!!
Unfortunately, the app I bought is in FRENCH!!!! And i found no possibity to change the language.
What can i do now to use my app??

Dear Brigitte,
Thanks for your interest in our application. There is an error on the AppStore, the application is only available in French and English for now.
It takes automatically the language set in the general preferences of your phone, so I guess switching your phone in english will show you the application in english.
We’ll very soon post an upgrade that will display the application in english even though your phone is setup in german.

As I don’t speak English very well, and my French is worse than my English, I hope you will offer the app in Spanish someday.

Meanwhile let me know how many food inputs there are, and if the app beholds different types of cooking.

Perhaps I can improve my English with your app .

Only one more point, since I’m vegan I would ask that the app include products such as tofu, seitan, quinoa, spelt… even foods like tofu frankfruts that we, vegans, buy.

Bonjour,

Cette application m’a bien tenté en complément du livre Le régime IG minceur (collectif la Nutrition.fr). Ce qui me surprend c’est qu’en parcourant diverses sources, les index glycémiques sont assez différents et certains aliments passent d’un index glycémique faible à un indice moyen, un index moyen passe à élevé, etc.
Les indices du livre sont récents (important) et basés sur la table internationale des index glycémiques (glycemicindex.com) pour ce qui est des aliments de base…
Bref, il est quand même étonnant de voir tant de disparités, également dans cette application.
Au vu de cela, serait-il possible de prévoir une édition possible des indices de l’application car son côté pratique est absolument indéniable, avoir accès à ces renseignements lorsque l’on fait ses courses ou lors d’une discussion, c’est vraiment extra !

Hi,

When you start the application, the presentation screen appears and then the screen turns black. Nothing else happens and i have to turn the application off.

The iphone version is 3.1.3 (7E18).

We’ve just released an update to the App Store that should fix this.
There was actually an issue with the available languages, please note that the application is available only in English and French for now.

Hi admin, sorry I have just postet my problem at the wrong app… so I have the same problem like DebONo, I have downloaded Low GI today and when I touch the icon just the first page opens and then the screen remains black… I would really love to use this app, please let me know what to do. I guess your iPhone is setup in German or Spanish language, isn’t it ? In this case we’re aware of a bug and we’re fixing it currently. The next app upgrade will fix it.
